SOS: Save our Sisters, Candlelit Vigil

More than 150 people attended a candlelit vigil for the Delhi gang rape victim, Jyoti Singh Pandey on Saturday 5th January 2013.

Mahatma Gandhi once said “The day a woman can walk freely on the roads at night, that day we can say India has achieved independence.” More than 150 people attended a candlelit vigil for the Delhi gang rape victim, Jyoti Singh Pandey on Saturday 5th January 2013. Organised by the Big Hug Foundation and CAREducation Youth team the event was held at the Gandhi statue in Tavistock Square Gardens, London. The vigil was held to remember the medical student and also to allow people to show their support for Indian women suffering injustices and inequality.
